Rockhampton Zoo
The Rockhampton Zoo exceeded my expectations of a free zoo by a long margin. Considering our last experience with free wildlife attractions, anyway, but I do think it rivals the paid zoos we’ve seen. Sabriena’s already had experience with Koalas in the wild, as well as kangaroos, emus and a dead echidna. While the zoo lacked the latter, all the former were well represented, along with dingoes and a range of non-australian fauna.
It was pretty comical seeing Dad getting spat at by a primate too. Photos forthcoming, when Sabriena uploads them.
