‘Give it heaps!’
Duncan is a bit of a petrol head, there’s no denying it. Ever since being really small and going for rides on his uncle’s ATV, he’s loved things that go zoom.
When we first got to Australia, he picked up the nasty habit of yelling “Give it shit” whenever someone stomped on the skinny pedal nearby. As two adults who swear far more than we probably should, controlling Duncan’s language was always going to be a challenge, but we managed to convert him to saying “heaps” instead.
Well tonight in Emerald, someone played some games in the car park while we were walking - Duncan put a fist in the air and screamed at the top of his lungs, “Give it heaps!”
