That time again, SSL certs
I got that yearly email I always dread: it’s time to renew SSL certs for all the things.
I use StartSSL for almost everything, simply because it’s nice not to have the warnings pop up but I don’t care enough about them to actually pay for a certificate. I still, for some reason, have problems trusting a company that gives away certs for free on things where we actually take money - for that reason our company’s billing portal is on a certificate signed by Comodo or something (I forget which provider now).
StartSSL are pretty good though, and I may consider switching to them later and just paying to get myself wedged into the web of trust for the EV certs.
I managed to roll all my accounts into one, which is handy except that I now have to wait again for them to verify a couple of the certs before they issue them.
