Broken down in Bourke
Dad’s van is broke this time, not mine. It’s not really broken - we’d decided to stop for the night in Bourke, and when we were checking into the caravan park I noticed that Dad’s van was making quite the racket under the hood. We checked it out, and there’s a stray pulley clickety-clacking around where it ought not to be, and the idler/tensioner is missing. Uh oh.
We’ll probably just try and sneak it back as it is. The batteries are on charge tonight, we have two spare belts. Trying to get a tensioner sent out to Bourke and staying here over easter weekend doesn’t really sound like fun, so we’ll see how we go.
