Wings and Wheels
We spent the weekend in Maryborough (coming home to sleep of course), to check out the Wings and Wheels event going on this weekend. If you were looking for something free to do, the historic car show and the air museum were both free on Saturday, but regrettably we forgot the camera.
Because of that, we elected to go out again on the Sunday, where the car show had moved out to the aerodrome along with a mess of light aircraft. It’s $10 per adult to get in, but we figured we could splurge.
Duncan’s attention waxed and waned throughout the day, so we didn’t stay for the entire thing. I’d have liked to stay for the remote control airplanes but it was starting to warm up, and Duncan’s attention was on the way down.
We did get to see the aerial stunt show though, and amazingly I got a couple of okay pictures which I was pretty proud of. It’s a fair amount of work tracking a moving plane and keeping the focus with a telephoto lens, so I wasn’t really expecting any of them to be any good at all.
