Partial Eclipse
Despite the fact it meant staying up late, I decided to try my hand at lunar photography since we have a half-decent telephoto lens. It’s not quite good enough to get the moon into the frame, for that we’d need a telescope and the appropriate adaptor, but it took some okay pictures.
Our tripod isn’t quite heavy enough to hold the camera perfectly still if there’s any small amount of wind, but to be fair that was with the legs fully extended. So unfortunately most of the really long-exposure ones didn’t come out.
Blood Moon
I took a whole mess of shots and most of them didn’t come out - these are the two I’m particularly pleased with.
I stayed up way later than I should have, I ended up going to sleep at about 10pm, which really sucked because I’ve had to get up at about 5am every day this week. The money will be awesome when it comes in though.
