First rental inspection
The property manager of our (rental) home came by today to inspect the property. We’ve known about the inspection for a few weeks, but we weren’t really too panicked because we tend to keep a rather tidy house anyway.
For some reason though, I was compelled yesterday and today to get up and do something. I mowed the lawn again, despite the fact it didn’t really need it, vacuumed all the leaves and crap up around the garden, did some weeding… and yesterday I vacuumed up all the cobwebs around the house.
She showed up very promptly, and the whole ordeal was over in a matter of minutes. There’s a few things the landlord wants to finally fix, hopefully in the new year (things we weren’t really too fussed about, like the loose corrugated iron on the shed), no complaints about how we kept the house, so it sounds like it’s all good.
She would like us to trim the bushes around the driveway in a few months, but no complaints at the moment.
