Easter: 2015
Duncan woke us up bright and early (more like dim and early, around 6am) this morning, and hunted for eggs even before the sun came up. After finding what the easter bunny had left him, I spent the morning catching up on school work and then played some Counter Strike: GO with Neil.
I then remembered we wanted to head into EB Games, and I wasn’t sure what hours they kept on Sundays (particularly easter Sunday) so we took off just before noon to head out there. We traded in several of the PS3 games, along with two of the PS4 games that came with the bundle which are absolutely garbage: Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Trials: Fusion.
Trials: Fusion was kinda fun for a bit, particularly Duncan’s reactions to the funnier jumps. But at it’s core it’s basically ExciteBike with no track editor, rendered in current-gen. I think it was fun for about an hour before I’d made the decision to trade it in for whatever we could get for it.
Sabriena was terribly excited about the Lara Croft one, thinking it was going to be another Tomb Raider, which she’s always liked. It’s not - it’s an isometric 3D shooter that realistically bears more in common with (since we’re on the subjects of NES games) Smash TV than it does Tomb Raider.
So we traded both of them in and ended up getting The LEGO Movie Game and Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag.
