New Rocksmith Controller
Yesterday I thought I’d scored in a local thrift shop - another guitar: It’s only an Ibanez Gio, but it was only fifty bucks! It felt pretty good to play (at least better than the Ashton we bought previously), and they’re between $200 and $300 or so brand new, so we bought it.
All the strings were a bit loose on it, the high-E was broken, and it took forever to tune… because it has a Floyd Rose style locking tremolo. I’m not sure what model it is, but it’s a pain in the arse - re-stringing the thing today, it almost went back to the thrift store where it came from!
Luckily, I found a pretty good guide to adjusting a locking tremolo, which really saved my bacon. Now that it’s correctly strung, and the tremolo is set up as well as I, a foolish amateur, possibly can get it (well that’s a lie, the action could be slightly higher in Drop-D tuning), I still really like playing this. It could just be I have piss-poor taste in guitars though.
Now all I need is another Rocksmith cable so Sabriena and I can play together.
