Super Storm?
Duncan and I were supposed to head out to Mum and Dad’s today, but Mum sent me a message last night that it might not be the best idea because of this big storm that was supposed to hit our state. Indeed Horsham took a fair beating on Thursday night, but it largely cleared up by Friday, with only a bit of rain on Friday and very little Saturday. Mum’s place was a different story though, they’re still getting rain on Saturday, and they can hear the creek roaring (though it hasn’t busted the banks so obviously has quite a bit to go before their house becomes a concern).
Given that a flood would likely mean being stuck there, and with their internet unlikely to be suitable for me to work from at the best of times, much less during a natural disaster, it seemed the smartest thing to do would be to stay home. So we’ll head out there next weekend instead.
