Christmas: Cancelled again…
We decided we wanted to have Christmas here this year, and my sister Jess has just bought a place with her husband Luke, and they wanted to have it in their place too, so Mum figured out that we would have a Christmas dinner at her place a week before Christmas instead.
Unfortunately, this conflicted with a prior arrangement (not on my part, one of my sisters), so we moved it to January, what was supposed to be this weekend.
This proved really unfortunate, because the Omicron strain of COVID-19 is spreading like absolute wildfire in Australia, and Duncan has not yet got his vaccination (he gets his first shot in a few days, and then the absolute minimum for any sort of immunity is 12 days post-shot), so it seemed like a fairly silly risk just for a family dinner.
So we’ve postponed it, again, and this time the plan is to gather for Easter instead.
