Gingerbread Party - 2024
After what seemed like a week of preparation, we had everything set up and some extra kids came over (I think three extra kids this year, plus Jeremy and Oliver, Shaina’s kids). We got to use our fancy new dining room, which worked well for the number of people we had. We again got pizza for lunch, then it was on to decorating.
The ejaculate-related jokes were once again fairly thick on the ground… I was going to try keep a tally of them, but right at the start the icing ended up being too thick, so Sabriena watered it down slightly and then asked the kids to shake the bottles, with entirely predictable results so I threw up my hands on the counting attempt.
Oh yeah, this year instead of using disposable piping bags, she bought empty sauce bottles to use for icing. They worked really well.
No Super Smash Bros this year, instead it was a nerf war. Unfortunately because Tiabeanie really likes destroying nerf darts, and in the middle of a firefight it’s impossible to keep track of where they all went, this resulted in a lot of “trading” treats for darts.
I didn’t even have to drive anyone home this year, parents came to pick them up which was good.
