Backing up your Minecraft Data
I wrote this guide for my son, Duncan. So here’s how to back up your worlds on Minecraft: Java Edition.
- Find a place to save the files - in this case we’ll use the NAS… So press Start and type
Z:/Duncan/
. - Create a new directory, with today’s date, and open it.
- Press Start, and type
%appdata
. - Open the
.minecraft
directory. - Copy the
Saves
directory over to the backup location. - That’s it!
